I have never been to Thailand, have but one friend from Thailand, and don’t think I’ve ever gone to a proper restaurant with him (he’s more of a bar buddy), so when it comes to the issue of authenticity in Thai cuisine, perhaps I shouldn’t claim too much authority. On the other hand, I [...] After reading Dooce‘s Pancake posts(1, 2), I was hankering for a pancake… of my very own. I took a nap and woke up still drooling (I named the little puddle Rod) over the idea of a fluffy pancake. So I caved… and it was delicious and buttery. AND it shut up the part of [...] I’ve been craving sushi and sashimi for the past couple of days. Being back from Japan for only a week, I think it’s my withdrawal speaking.  "There is very little that I cannot / wouldn't eat. However, Ryan was able to get a good laugh out of a panicked look I had on my face while drowning back raw baby squid with beer."  Ryan needs to write a blurb here about himself. Like the time he almost lost his shit over the greatness that is Japanese Bento and set lunches. Needless to say, we both like to eat very much. |
