I am a BIG fan of shake shack! So, when I found myself up at the Symphony Space at 10pm, I headed over to the new UWS accomodations. It was rainy, late, and there was absolutely no line. There were tables, some diners, and your familiar beeper.
I ordered a Shack Burger, liquid gold beer on tap, and shared some cheese fries. I’ve never had their cheese fries before, but they were pretty amazing. I am betting that the secret ingredient in the cheese is a small amount of heavy cream and/or mayo. Really.
I usually get two shack burgers (single) or a burger and a bird dog. I was never a fries person, but man… I might be a convert.
I was craving burger joint, but this was even better.
I wonder if this Shake Shack uses wind technology. I imagine a dorky man named Bob blowing in the back… or running on a hamster wheel to propel a big fan. Anyone want to grab a burger while protesting, “FREE BOB” ???
