I cannot believe I haven’t mentioned this place! It is amazing, but I probably feared for my life and any stalkers that might result from this. Ok, fine, maybe I am not important enough to have stalkers. Would it be too presumptuous to say maybe I would have couple of unexpected dinner guests stop by? And no food to feed them. : ( Anyway. Whenever I am feeling lazy, I always go to this standby. I either have a chorizo taco, which is FILLED with meat, salsa, vegetables, cheese, etc… Delicious! or this open faced sandwich on a thick tortilla. I have never had a taco like this anywhere in Manhattan. Seriously. And this open faced sandwich, which is more like a mexican, pizza, though, is something I have never even seem anywhere else in Manhattan. For reals. This creation is topped with longaniza pork, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and thin radish slices.
Ryan, of course, swears by their tortas. He loves them. He usually gets a longaniza torta, but last night he got a cecina (salted beef) torta. It got his thumbs up, but I suspect that he might be going back for his longaniza, next time.
