You know, cause a girl’s got to eat. (descriptions correspond left to right, top to bottom) Salad from Country Cafe downstairs in the Trump Building. I think I filled it up with greens, onions, chicken, shrimp, avocado, tomatoes, olives, artichokes, and orzo salad. Yeah. Pork belly kakuni (thinly sliced pork belly braised in a chilli [...] The lovely Sarah from Sweet Pepper hosted a holiday dinner party on the Upper West Side. I brought some wine and rum, since she said she had all the cooking under control. Ryan has been touting that she’s an amazing cook for a while, so I hauled ass there and spend couple of minutes circling [...] Last weekend we had a dinner party at Laundromat put together by their house-guest Tami, a spunky photographer from Japan my mother’s age. She’s so adorable in large funky glasses with a red frame and her signature leggings. She put together a feast with chirashi sushi (sushi rice with various toppings), sashimi, yakisoba (by Kevin), [...] Last week was a pretty busy week without much cooking. We just wrapped things up with our usual cold Udon noodles in a Southeast Asian garlic lime sauce, with a pinch of dashi. I just topped that with shiitake mushrooms and boiled vegetables (sansai) blanched in thick dashi, soy sauce and mirin. All in all, [...] |
 "There is very little that I cannot / wouldn't eat. However, Ryan was able to get a good laugh out of a panicked look I had on my face while drowning back raw baby squid with beer."  Ryan needs to write a blurb here about himself. Like the time he almost lost his shit over the greatness that is Japanese Bento and set lunches. Needless to say, we both like to eat very much. |
